Designing a brand in the abstract is one thing. Seeing those letters appear on an object is something else entirely. Packaging is where lettering becomes part of everyday life: a bottle on a table, a box on a shelf, something someone picks up, uses, keeps or remembers. If I had been given a euro every time someone said, “Oh, did you design the El Bandarra bottle? I always have it in my fridge,” I’d be doing quite well by now.
