Calligraphy

I was a calligrapher before I became a graphic designer. Traditional calligraphy gave me a deep understanding of how letters are built: their structure, contrast, rhythm and movement. It is the foundation of much of what I do. I write for practice, for pleasure and as a form of expression. And when calligraphy finds its place in a piece of graphic communication, something very direct and human happens.
